A B O U T

Hello! My passion is designing for content-driven projects—primarily in the publishing
and cultural institution sphere. I am an assistant professor at Portland State University, where
I teach typography, page layout, and studio design classes. Outside of school, I design books
and covers for various publishers and institutions, including Timber Press, Counterpoint Press, and
the Museum of Contemporary Craft. My self-initiated work has centered primarily around visual
representations of nature and place using walking guide books and photography as a medium.
I
hold a MA in Communication Design from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design (UK)
and a BA inGraphic Design from San Francisco State University.
